Description

Survivin-2B, also known as BIRC5 and EPR-1, is a member of the inhibitor of apoptosis (IAP) family, which encodes negative regulatory proteins that prevent apoptotic cell death. The Survivin-2B peptide (AYACNTSTL) is a specific antigenic peptide recognized by CD8+ cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTL) and is used in cancer immunotherapy. The peptide is derived from exon 2B-encoded region and has been identified as a target antigen for peptide-based cancer immunotherapy.
